Dinosaur Dig

A group of children outdoors near a statue or structure, with trees in the background.

The Dinosaur Dig at the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center is an exhilarating and educational adventure designed to spark the curiosity of paleontologists, young and old. Participants start by touring the park's life-sized dinosaur sculptures, learning about the creatures they once were and how they were discovered. After gearing up with brushes and tools, teams of budding explorers carefully excavate a replica Allosaurus skeleton buried in a mock dig site, working hands-on to uncover each fossilized bone, just like a real field dig. This immersive expedition is fun, collaborative, and educational, aligning with California’s Next Generation Science Standards (3LS4.A; 3LS3.C; 4ESS1.C) and costing just $10 per explorer.  Whether you're part of a school group or visiting with family, the Dinosaur Dig offers a thrilling taste of paleontology that turns science into a memorable, hands-on exploration.

Cost – $10.00 per Explorer.
